The IFSA runs Region 2, which includes the Americas. Region 1 is Europe, Asia And Oceania.
The best from each region, those top ranked by a certain cut off date for point accumulations, compete in an end of season Challenger Series for their region- which includes FWT athletes trying to keep their spot on the tour. The winners of those series get invited to the following seasonβs Freeride World Tour.

I moved to Springfield, Missouri in January of 2024 and have been competing out of the Midwest the past 2 seasons.
I learned there are 2 Missouri ski resorts 3-4 hours away. Hidden Valley near St. Louis and Snow Creek near Kansas City are open a short span from Christmas til the beginning of February.
Itβs going to be harder than ever keeping my over 8 years snowboarding once a month streak going & competing for the Freeride World Tour from the Midwest, but Iβm up for the challenge & need sponsors now more than ever.
For my 1st FWT Qualifier season, I was living out of my 1999 Honda CR-V I purchased January for the 2021 tour. Itβs pictured here at my very 1st FWQ comp, the Grand Targhee 2*. The engine blew on my way back to Gunnison from Purgatory Resortβs closing day 5/14/23.

I bought a 2004 Honda Pilot 7/18/23, which I nicknamed HA-PPY because we both needed sponsors with it having 240k+ miles. HA-PPYβs engine blew in between Breckenridge and Taos competitions last year, but not before I won my 1st Gilmore sized check.
I decided to use my tax return towards a downpayment vs another cheaper vehicle that might not last me as long again. Iβm incredibly grateful to join #TeamToyota (not officially sponsored by @ToyotaUSAβ¦ yet).
Personal Vehicle:
2010 Toyota Highlander
making monthly payments
regular maintenance
~$60 for a full tank of gas
~$360 round trip from Springfield, MO to Denver, CO

I was also able to fly to the Snowbird 4* competition where I was fortunate enough to stay with friends, utilize public transportation and ride share.
For the 2025 season, I flew to Canada again and to Tahoe from there before returning home. 3 one-way tickets versus a round-trip booking with United got me bonus points to use for a future flight.
In Canada, I again acquired a rental vehicle through Enterprise and used Wyndham rewards points for hotel stays. In Tahoe, I stayed at a friendβs house and was able to borrow their truck for transportation, and used the bus to the airport.
Both seasons I flew with United Airlines to earn mileage points and paid via Affirm- an online monthly payment option- Iβm still paying off two of this yearβs flights.
I collect points everywhere I go to save for & help with future stays- Hotels.com, Booking.com, Choice, IHG, Marriott, Wyndham, Hyatt, Hilton, Airbnb, Vrboβ¦
I can also sleep in my 2010 Toyota Highlander. With the seats laid flat, thereβs enough room for me- being 5β1β- to sleep comfortably & Iβm no stranger to car camping...

Endless gratitude to the friends and family who have let me stay with them while traveling to train and compete for these events.
As of 4/25/2025, I am over 2 years alcohol free and trying to drink more water daily.
Enjoying local dining establishments while traveling is one of the best experiences embracing culture and community, with fellow athletes or complete strangers. Any chance you get to support a local hunter, farmer or forager is special too.

I also donβt mind βroughing itβ with my Colman classic camping stove, bringing things from home or supporting local grocers and farmers markets. Brands like Coleman, Yeti, Goal Zero, Honda, Toyota, Yakima and Airstream are dream sponsors.

Iβm looking forward to taking more advantage of these Ozark hills on my bicycle and skateboard.

My plan for the upcoming season and every season thereafter⦠more pop, grabs, spins, switch, speed and fun :)
