The best from each region, those top ranked by a certain cut off date for point accumulations, compete in an end of season Challenger Series for their region- which includes FWT athletes trying to keep their spot on the tour. The winners of those series get invited to the following season’s Freeride World Tour.
You can enter as many FWT Qualifier events as you want in a season, but only your top 3 results go towards your overall ranking.
Events are ranked 1-4 stars. The higher the star, the more the points it’s worth per placing… and the higher the registration fee.

My dream is to compete in the South American circuit July through early September.
While a series sponsorship for registration fees alone would be ~$1-2k, individual events range from $70-$250.

Athlete discounted tickets are offered for each event- pricing, and the amount of days offered at that price, varies per resort. Most offer a Friends & Family rate too.
An Epic or Ikon Pass sponsorship saves the need to purchase tickets at most resorts on the schedule, ~$800 for each. It can be up to $200 for a single day lift ticket so if you go at least 1 week, it has paid for itself.

I bought a 2004 Honda Pilot 7/18/23, which I nicknamed HA-PPY because we both needed sponsors with it having 240k+ miles. HA-PPY’s engine blew in between Breckenridge and Taos competitions last year, but not before I won my 1st Gilmore sized check.
I decided to get an auto loan vs purchase another cheaper vehicle that might not last me as long again. I’m incredibly grateful to join #TeamToyota 4/25/2024- not officially sponsored by @ToyotaUSA… yet.

Enjoying local dining establishments while traveling is one of the best experiences embracing culture and community, with fellow athletes or complete strangers. Any chance you get to support a local hunter, farmer or forager is special too.

I also don’t mind ”roughing it” with my Colman classic camping stove, bringing things from home or supporting local grocers and farmers markets. Brands like Coleman, Yeti, Goal Zero, Honda, Toyota, Yakima and Airstream are dream sponsors.
I try to take a 1-3 mile walk every day and am doing my best to stretch more.
I have a gym membership to Snowcreek in Mammoth, have joined friends at their local facilities, and used hotel gyms while traveling.
